Match timing: Friday: 12pm to 8pm Saturday: 9am to 8pm Sunday: 8am to 2pm Would appreciate if you could take note of the following: 1. Eye wear is compulsory for all jumbo participants (not provided by organizers). 2. Towels (There will not be any towels provided during the tournament) 3. Players are required to mark and referee matches. 4. Please be punctual for matches, failing which the 15 minutes walkover rule applies. 5. No outside food is allowed at the Raintree Club (please utilise the RM20 F&B voucher during the tournament, unused voucher will not be refunded) 6. Car Park - only foreign cars will be allowed to park in the club's carpark compound; limit to maximum 10 cars, first come first serve basis) Scoring: 1. Jumbo Premier: Circuit Format: - Best of 18 points. - Semi-Finals & Finals of Main Event is Best of 3 games 15 points. - Rd 1 & Rd 2, top 4 seeded team to start with handicap of -5. - No. of matches is 04. 2. Jumbo Div 1: Due to the odd no. of teams (19) the organiser decided to change the format to group matches & cross-over (similar to football - champions league). - Best of 15 points. - No. of matches ; maximum 06. 3. Singles Men & Women: - Best of 5 games/ 11 points/ American Scoring. - Knock out system - No. of matches : minimum 02. GOOD LUCK!!

Championship set to be a success due to big number of participants ULTIMATE Squasher and Raintree Club have joined forces to organise the jumbo doubles squash championships at the Raintree Club in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow. The doubles will have two categories - Premier and Division One- and the organisers have also included a social event (singles) for men and women. It is the second time Ultimate Squasher, helmed by former international Sandra Wu and Singapore international Della Lee, is organising the championships. Wu, a three-time Asian junior champion, said they had received encouraging response for the three-day championships. “About 150 players, including players from Singapore, Hong Kong and England, have registered for the championships. Some of the top players from Malaysia have also confirmed their participation. We are confident that the championships will be a big success,” said Wu after a sponsorship ceremony. The sponsors for the championships are Cotra Enterprises, the distributors of Vitagen and Marigold in Malaysia, Wilson and Vasyli. Cotra Enterprises deputy general manager Michael Ong said they have been associated with Ultimate Squasher for the past four years. “We have been with them in organising coaching clinics in schools. We also support their junior development programmes. We joined them for the doubles two years ago. Then it was held in Bukit Jalil. This year the event has moved to the Raintree Club. “Looking at the big number of participants, the championships is set to be a success,” said Ong. The national players who have signed up for the championships are Sharon Wee, Lim Yoke Wah, Siti Munirah Jusoh, Low Wee Wern, Ivan Yuen, Elvinn Keo, Chong Kam Hing and Valentino Bong. Yuen, the winner for the Hassan Musa Award at the Asian Squash Federation ceremony, will team up with Bong. The duo are the top seeds in the premier division. Wu said there would not be any cash prizes for the winners. “Our aim is to give an opportunity to the social players to play against the national juniors,” said Wu.
