SRAM back renewal of Jamshed’s contract
KUALA LUMPUR: The Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia (SRAM) have clarified that their general manager, Peter Chee, was never against extending Pakistan coach Jamshed Gul’s contract.
SRAM issued a statement yesterday that their management committee, who met on July 12, had unanimously endorsed to renew Jamshed’s contract as coach of the national elite back-up team for a further term.
“At no material time did Peter act on his own accord in the matter,” the statement added.
National No. 1 Ong Beng Hee had claimed on Sunday that Peter and some of the SRAM staff were not keen on extending Jamshed’s contract.
