Leong, a SMK Subang Jaya student, said: “It was exhausting having to play four matches in two days.
“I was lucky to receive a bye in the first round. Otherwise, I would have played five matches in two days,” said Leong. “Although I am tired, I am delighted with earning two upset wins in a row for my first MSSM title.”
Top seed Low Wee Nee of Penang lived up to expectations when she beat second seed and team-mate Nessrine Ariffin 9-2, 9-3, 9-4 for the girls’ Under-18 title.
